Online Python Summer Camp - Grades 6 to 12

Schedule - Summer Break

  • July 5 - 9, 2021

  • Morning (experienced with Python) or Afternoons (first-timers with Python) (See Schedule below)

Your child will attend one 2 hour session per day. More experienced students who already know how to code in Python are encouraged to enrol in the "morning" program, while students who are curious about Python can join the "afternoon" class (see Schedule).

The morning camp theme is "Code your own Project", where coaches will work with your child to set development, exploration and engagement goals. The afternoon camp theme is "First steps in Python", where the coaches will work with your child to explore the foundational concepts of Python programming.

This week of camps presents an opportunity for experienced coders to branch out, be creative and focus on a skill they want to learn.

During this week, only Python will be available.

Your child will learn 21st Century skills through the power of programming. During our project based learning activities your child will build skills in:

  • computer programming: your child will learn the syntax, structure and algorithms to create programs using real code

  • computational logic: your child will learn to approach problems and challenges with creativity and critical thinking

  • emotional intelligence: your child will learn active listening, social perceptiveness and leadership

  • technological  intelligence: your child will learn digital literacy and begin to understand the tech landscape and its impact

The camp is accessible to all levels of programming experience. We tailor the experience and challenges based age and the individual child's learning trajectory. Your child will learn real code in an experiential environment.
